Various organisations are gearing up to celebrate National Children’s Day in Phuket on January 14.

Children’s Day is celebrated to give kids the opportunity to have fun and to create awareness about their significant future role in the development of Thailand.

Phuket Fantasea will offer free entry to Fantasea Village from 3pm to 5pm, with a show on stage, several games, and a floating market. In the Tiger Jungle Adventure Zone children will be able to meet with Fantasea’s three white tigers, including Pin Nogoen, the latest arrival from Canada.

Central Festival Phuket will hand out presents, plus provide food and drink to underprivileged children on Naka Yai Island on January 13. Then the next day, on January 14, st Central Festival Phuket’s Exhibition Hall from 11am there will be a bouncy castle, a pet talent show, games, a children’s singing competition, and a mini concert from Thailand performers Keng Sitthikorn and Nuknik Nichapich.

Phuket International Airport will have planes on display from 8.30am to 3pm as well as an airshow by the Royal Thai Air Force from Surat Thani, plus games and a performance on stage.

Jungceylon will have a remote control “fish” show, titled Air Swimmer. There will be a dress up competition, an art competition, art and craft workshops, games and more. The activities will run on both January 14 and 15 from 11am to 6pm.

Phuket Provincial Administration Organization will hold an event from 8am to 4pm on January 14 at the Phuket Provincial Hall with a mini concert, games, and free food and drink.

Patong City Municipality will organise activities at Loma Park between 8.30am to 3pm with a show by students from schools in Patong, a prize draw with more than 150 prizes, a bouncy castle and games.

Bangkok Hospital Phuket will hold activities at the conference hall on the third floor of the hospital from 8am until midday. There will be a free magic show and games, plus prizes.

National Children’s Day is held on the second Saturday of January every year.
