Officers led by Pol Lt Col Phichit Thongto, Chief of the Crime Suppression Division at Phuket Provincial Police, arrested Surawut ‘Liv’ Ratanaliam at a rented room off Chao Fa East Rd in Chalong yesterday (June 19).
A subsequent search of Sarawut’s registered address, a house at the Patak Villa housing estate in Moo 4, Rawai, saw officers seize 4,886 ya bah pills, 22.35g of ya ice and a homemade pen gun with a barrel about 7.5 inches long made to fire .38-calibre bullets.
Also seized were five packs of resealable clear plastic bags, drug-taking paraphernalia, two digital scales and a Samsung Galaxy A55 mobile phone.
Of note, no bullets were reported as found at the house.
Sarawaut was taken to Chalong Police Station, where he was charged with “distributing Category 1 narcotics (ice, methamphetamine) by having them for sale without permission”, “using a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine or ice/amphetamine) illegally”, and illegal possession of a firearm.
