Central Pattana Chief Operating Officer to speak at AustCham Phuket event

PHUKET: The Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (AustCham), in collaboration with Partner Chambers, will host Pakorn Partanapat, Chief Operating Officer of Central Pattana PCL (CPN), as keynote speaker at a Members Briefing on ‘Central’s Retail Developments and Opportunities in Phuket’.

The event will be held from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday, Aug 15, at the Novotel Phuket Phokeethra in Phuket Town.

Mr Pakorn will present on Central Phuket’s new luxurious wing ‘Floresta’ due to open in September 2018, and what the expansion can mean for other businesses on the island.

Mr Pakorn was appointed CPN’s COO on Jan 3 last year to “bolster the senior management team filled with many outstanding members who have industry expertise and in-depth experiences”.

As such his primary responsibilities are to boost and oversee sales and marketing, manage assets, and strengthen the organisational structure in readiness for CPN’s constant and ongoing domestic and international shopping centre expansion.

Of note, before joining Central Group, Mr Pakorn had extensive experience in developing new financial businesses and products, and is a respected veteran noted for his expertise in managing and operating retail banking for nearly 30 years.

Specifically, his last position before switching industries to retail to CPN was Senior Executive Vice President of Kasikornbank, Head of Retail Business Division and Service Networks Division.

The event is being organised in collaboration with Amcham, the BCCT, Franco-Thai and NTCC, and the Australian Alumni, and invites members and guests to join the Phuket Sundowners networking event at the hotel’s Estrela Sky Lounge after the Members Briefing.

Registration opens 4:30pm, with the Member’s Briefing from 5pm to 6pm.

Entry to the Members Briefing is free of charge for AustCham members, partner Chambers’ members, and Australian Alumni Members and non-members who attend Sundowners.

Entry to the Sundowners is B500 for AustCham members, partner Chambers' members, and Australian Alumni Members, and B900 for non-members.
