Thalang Police were called to the man’s home, in Moo 8, Srisoontorn, at about 12:35pm yesterday (Oct 28).
Police along with rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived to find the man’s body on his bed, with no signs of a struggle or disturbance in the house.
Friends of the deceased told investigators they had been trying to contact him for five days without success, police reported.
Concerned for his well-being, they visited his home, where they found him unresponsive and immediately alerted authorities.
A forensic doctor from Vachira Phuket Hospital and the Phuket Province Forensic Science team were called to examine the scene to determine the cause of death.
The Canadian Embassy has also been notified to inform the man’s family, police said.
The investigation into the exact cause of death is ongoing.
