On Saturday (April 25), Thung Thong police were called to Vachira Hospital where a man had died from stab wounds he sustained during an altercation on Phrabaramee Rd.
The victim, a Burmese man named as Jomyotok Somchay, 21, had been stabbed with a sharp object near the collar bone.
After making investigations, at 6:30pm yesterday, Thung Thong police arrested Tepthon, 20, also Burmese, and seized a knife and a Honda Wave that he was driving on the day of the incident. He was arrested inside a worker̕s camp in Moo 6 in Kathu.
Tepthon told police that he and the victim had an argument which broke into a fist fight in front of the Family Mart.
“I stabbed him one time and sped off on the motobike,” Tepthon told police.
Police took Tepthon to Thung Thong Police Station where he faces being charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing death, carrying a weapon in a public place without a permit, and living in Thailand without permission.
