The 45-year-old suspect was detained at around 11:30am yesterday (Apr 7) by officers from the Phuket Airport Immigration Investigation Team, led by Pol Lt Col Akkaraphon Kaewkiattiyos.

Officers reported that the woman had remained in Thailand 207 days beyond the permitted duration of her stay. She was apprehended at the international passenger terminal and taken to Sakhu Police Station for legal processing.

Officials reminded all foreign nationals to comply with immigration regulations, warning that overstaying can lead to arrest, detention and deportation.
