Karon Police were called ot the scene at about 6:30am.
Officers noted that there were no signs of physical abuse on the body.
The woman, of Asian appearance, was dressed only in black underwear and bra. She had a jade-coloured bracelet on her left wrist and was still wearing earrings.
The body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further examination while police continue their investigation.
