The Vegetarian Festival is scheduled from September 27 to October 5, and the blood bank needs reserve blood in case of injuries to ‘Ma Song’ – the spirit mediums who perform body piercing rituals during the festival – and to cover any accidents that may occur during the festival.
In return for giving blood, donors will receive a white T-shirt to wear during the festival.
