Bay Regatta conludes with title run

BAY REGATTA: The 18th Bay Regatta, which took place March 4–8 on the waters off Phuket, saw a lot of fast action as several boats finished as repeat champions while others obtained their first title.

The Multihull Class saw Java, skippered by John coffin, take home the top title with a score of eight. Java defeated Asia Catamarans Hurricane (Alan Carwadine) by four points, which put them in 2^nd place for the second year in a row. Last year's winner, Twin Sharks (John Newnham) finished 4^th.

Meanwhile, Rolan Dane's Jessandra II boat took home the top prize in the Racing Class with five points, three more than Foo 4 (Fergus and Jennifer Wilmer).

The Cruising A - IRC class saw Niels Degenklow's Pheonix come out on top for the second straight year, winning by just one point over Windstar (Patinyakorn Buranrom).

In the Cruising B – NHC Class, Kevin Gillow's Poco boat finished 1^st with just three points, besting second place Aqua (Mig Wehrle) by a whopping five points.
