Among those in attendance were Phuket City Mayor Suppachoke Laongphet, Head of Local Administration Wutthichai Bamrungrat, Deputy Provincial Education Officer Warangkana Ananta, along with school administrators, teachers, students and invited guests.

During the ceremony, Governor Nirat read an address from Privy Councillor Daopong Ratanasuwan, who had been appointed by His Majesty the King as the royal representative to present the awards to outstanding students and educational institutions.

The Royal Award presentation ceremony for the 2024 academic year was held on Dec 9, 2025, at Dusit Hall in Dusit Palace, Bangkok.

The address highlighted education as the foundation of life and national development, and stressed the need for schools to adapt to change in a rapidly evolving world. It underscored the importance of not only imparting knowledge, but also fostering critical thinking, open-mindedness and lifelong learning among students to ensure sustainable national progress.

The celebration at Bang Neow Municipal School featured a video presentation titled ‘The Path to Success: Towards the Royal Award for Educational Institutions’, as well as congratulatory speeches from representatives of educational institutions.

Governor Nirat also presented certificates of appreciation to individuals who have contributed to the school’s development, in recognition of their role in raising educational standards.

Students from the performing arts club staged a tribute performance, ‘The Supreme Monarch (King Rama X)’, which drew warm applause from attendees.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the Royal Award plaque at the school’s entrance, symbolising what officials described as the highest honour for the institution and recognition of its excellence in management, teaching and community collaboration.
