The incident was reported at 9:52am, when the Phuket Kusoldham Rescue Team’s Muang Mai branch received a call for help from a residence in the Bang Rong area of Pa Khlok.
Rescuers arrived to find the infant locked inside a red sedan bearing Bangkok licence plates.
The team acted quickly to free the child from the vehicle as anxious family members and local residents looked on.
The baby was found to be safe and showed no signs of injury following the rescue.
Officials used the incident to warn parents and carers to carefully check vehicles before locking them, particularly during periods of hot weather when temperatures inside parked cars can rise rapidly and pose serious risks to young children.
