Action by Chalong Police began after officers were informed of posts online showing the man doing the wheelie. The posts included a slew of sarcastic comments by netizens.
Officers determined that the incident occurred around 11.50pm Sunday night.
The suspect was seen riding a black and red Honda Click motorcycle while performing the stunts.
Police contacted the owner of the motorcycle and requested they bring the rider to the station.
The suspect was identified as Daher Walid, a 32-year-old Australian national.
The motorcycle used during the incident has been seized for further investigation.
Chalong Police have charged Mr Walid with “driving without regard for the safety or convenience of others and driving recklessly or dangerously without regard for the safety of persons or property.”
Legal proceedings are now underway, Chalong Police confirmed.
