Phuket Immigration officers received a request for help from the hotel staff at about 8:45am yesterday (May 8).
The hotel staff explained that the man was found unconscious in his room and staff were unable to contact family members, and therefore asked officers to help.
Phuket Immigration officers checked their database, and relatives soon arrived at the hotel, said a report of the incident.
An ambulance was called to take the man to Patong Hospital, where he is now out of danger, the report said.
