BANGKOK: The National Peace and Order Maintaining Council (NPOMC) released former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra from an army camp last night (May 25), an army source said.
An order signed by army chief and council chairman Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha allowed Ms Yingluck to return home from the 1st Division, King's Guard, near the Royal Plaza, the source said.
The former prime minister reported to the NPOMC on Friday (May 23) and was taken into custody on that day.
A number of other people detained by the council were also released, the source added, but gave no details.
