Thalang Police were called to the camp, in Moo 7, Srisoonthorn, at 12:30pm.

Tan Da Oo, 45, a Myanmar national who runs the grocery store for her employer, told police that she was alone in the store when four men wearing helmets stormed in.

They locked the door, tied her hands, feet and mouth, and proceeded to ransack the premises. One suspect stood guard while the other three searched for valuables.

The robbers fled with B120,000 in cash, three gold necklaces, a gold bracelet, two gold rings, a pair of gold earrings and a Samsung mobile phone. The three gold necklaces, reported as eight bahtweight in gold, were together valued at over B400,000.

The men fled on two motorbikes ‒ a grey-red Honda Wave and a blue-black Honda Wave ‒ both with unknown license plates.

Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing any CCTV footage in the area and coordinating with the Phuket Forensic Science Center to gather evidence in the hope of quickly apprehending the suspects.
