Officers stopped and arrested Jakkrit Kongsawat at the Thalang Intersection, in the heart of Thalang Town, Thalang Police reported.
The time and date of his arrest was not included in the brief report.
Jakkrit, a resident of Moo 1, Thepkrasattri, was found with 363 ya bah pills, 72.3 grammes of ya ice and a Smith & Wesson .38-calibre revolver loaded with four bullets, said police.
During the arrest, police also seized a digital scale, 11 resealable plastic bags, three sets of drug paraphernalia and a brown leather pistol holster.
Not included in the report was any mention of a subsequent search of Jakkrit’s place of accommodation, as evidenced in photos of his arrest.
Officers also seized the yellow-red Toyota taxi and Jakkrit’s black Oppo mobile phone, police confirmed.
Jakkrit now faces charges of illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic for sale without permission, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and carrying a firearm in a public place without permission or reasonable cause, police confirmed
Jakkrit was also charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of methamphetamine.
Police did not confirm whether Jakkrit was a registered taxi driver, or was just driving the taxi car for personal reasons at the time of his arrest.
