The award was one of several handed out to local developments at the Southeast Asia Property Awards 2013 held in Singapore on October 31.

The gala dinner and awards ceremony, which took place in front of more than 400 people from the region’s real estate and property industry, also saw Sansiri pick up the Best Developer Thailand award. Raimon Land’s 185 Rajadamri collected the Best Condo Thailand prize.

Koh Samui’s all-pool-villa estate, Samujana, was also a big winner. The development in the north east of the island scooped the prestigious Best Villa Development Southeast Asia award as well as the Best Residential Architectural Design prize.

Indonesian residential and commercial property developer Lippo Karawaci took home the top prize of Best Developer Southeast Asia.

It was also a good night for real estate agency Jones Lang LaSalle as they collected the Best Consultancy awards in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The Best Condo Development Southeast Asia award went to Singapore’s Marina Bay Suites.

The third annual awards saw a record number of more than 1,400 nominations from across Southeast Asia.

Terry Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer of organisers Ensign Media, said, “This year we’ve been especially pleased with both the strength and depth of entries from Malaysia, so much so that we are planning to hold the first ever Malaysia Property Awards in the second quarter of 2014.”
