Following a tip off, Pol Lt Col Prawit Ang-chuan and his team headed to Sua Luang Lor 9, the Rama 9 Park, in Phuket Town, where they found Kanchit Luejai, aged 33, and Phatsarawan Udom, 29, both acting strangely. They were in possession of 10 ya ba pills each, and after questioning, led policemen to Ekkawut “Ou” Reuphet, aged 22.
Lt Col Prawit’s team then found Ekkawut at a gas station in Koh Kaew. When he saw police Ekkawut threw a bag on the ground, and tried to run away. He was arrested after police found 92.5 grams of ya ice in the bag.
The confession and “dobbing in” spiral continued when Ekkawut led police to two more drug dealers, Kietirat “Ae” Maliwan, 34, and Jakkrit “Krit” Nuanvijit, 22.
Both were arrested in their house in Thalang and it was here police found the biggest drug haul of the day – 1 kilogramme of ya ice and 3,838 ya ba pills.
Police found around 1 kilogramme of ya ice in a tea package, which was covered with a plastic bag and hidden in an empty paint bucket. Police also found multiple bags containing 3,838 pills in total.
