The raid, led by Pol Lt Col Suchart Luecha, was at a worker’s residence in Moo 4, Srisoonthorn, police reported.
Nine of the 11 people arrested were women, named by police as:
- Chabaprai Kamnamchan, 53, of Tambon Thepkrasattri
- Apichanya Phumipan, 43, of Cherng Talay
- Wasukan Champiklang, 54, from Roi Et
- Sai Inphuwa, 60, of Thalang District
- Pimchan Thepkorat, 67, from Bueng Kan
- Aphinphon Thapsuri, 54, of Khon Kaen
- Kraisak Kaewprasit, 61, from Phuket.
- Rasami Unwiset, 46, of Bueng Kan
- Boonchia Pongchaichom, 45, from Nakhon Phanom
The other two people arrested were men, named by police as Surasak Petchrat, 57, from Nong Khai, and Surakarn Dason, 53, from Khon Kaen.
Evidence seized in the raid included one Hi-Lo betting board. a tile saucer and cover, a set of three dice and cash amounting to B1,310.
The 11 were charged with “collaborating with others to gamble (Hi-Lo) and bet on property without permission”, police confirmed.
Ms Chabaprai faces an additional charge for organising the illegal gambling activity.
