10 Mile International Run to take place March 24-25

ATHLETICS: For the fourth consecutive year, Thailand’s leading sports retailer, Supersports, will organise the country’s only mile-distance race, the Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura on March 24-25, at the award-winning Thanyapura Health & Sports Resort, and organisers expect 4,000 people to take part.

The Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura attracts runners from around Thailand and overseas.

A key event in Phuket’s sporting calendar and one that underscores Phuket’s sports tourism credentials, the Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura attracts runners from around Thailand and overseas, and offers the largest running event prize purse in Phuket – a combined B110,000.

The event’s schedule is as follows:

March 24 starts 5pm

  • 500m Fun Run for children from 3 to 12 years old

  • 3 Mile (4.8km)

Both distances still open for registration. There are kids zone and concert after the running event. All runners on both days can join the concert free of charge and they also can bring their friends or family to join the concert.

March 25 starts 6am

  • 10 Mile (16km)

  • 5 Mile (8km)

Both distances are fully booked.

Race kit collection at The View room, Thanyapura

Fri March 23 1pm -7pm.

Sat March 24 10am-4pm.

3pm - Race venue opens for athletes

QSI International School Phuket

4pm-7pm - Kids Zone operation hours

4:30pm - Warm up activity

5pm - 500m Kids Run start

5:15pm - 3 mile Run Start

6pm - Award presentation

6:35pm - Lucky Draw

7pm-9pm - Night Concert starts with local band and Modern Dog band

Sun March 25

4am - Race venue open for athletes

5:30am-5:50am - Warm up activity

6am - Start 10 mile Run

6:15am – Start 5 mile Run

8am-9am - Award presentation
