Phuket FC President Pariyawit Achariyachai confirmed the addition of Supachai on the team's Facebook page. Supachai will take over from interim coach Somsak Rungsawan, who was appointed to lead the Ronins following Teco's departure on June 22.
Previously, Supachai was the coach for Looktabfah Pathumthai FC – a team he founded in 2009 as Rose Asia Pathum Thani FC– which played in the Regional League Division 2.
“With only thirteen games left to play, I promise I'll try my best,” coach Supichai said in a statement.
“As for the team plans, we need to know what we lack and then fix it. The previous games showed us the problems we've got in our defensive. The Ronin attack did quite well but have failed to score. This is what we need to make it as our first priority.”
He also cited the upcoming Phuket FC Youth Academy as an important pillar in the future of the club's success.
“Now, we're in the planning process, I saw many kids right here interested in football. I believe this will be an important part of the club in the future for sure” he said.
