The initiative is similar to the special discounts currently being offered by chain stores in Thailand.
Typically the fee is B20 but this is being waived from today until 11pm of January 4.
The Phuket News has confirmed that Siam Commercial Bank, Bangkok Bank, Krung Thai Bank, Krung Sri Ayutthaya Bank, Thai Military Bank and Kasikorn Bank have all joined the special promotion.
Kasikorn has gone one step further. It is also waiving the fees normally charged for withdrawing or depositing funds through another bank’s ATM.
