The Ramada Phuket Deevana builds upon Wyndham Hotel Group’s strategic efforts to grow its Ramada brand in key markets throughout Southeast Asia, noted a press release from the company issued today.
“Thailand is a key country in the company’s development strategy for the region because of the country’s consistently high appeal to travellers worldwide,” said the release, adding that Thailand remained popular for international travellers with the country’s Department of Tourism charting more than 2 million visitors monthly.
“The Ramada Phuket Deevana provides travellers across the globe with Ramada’s renowned contemporary comforts on Thailand’s largest island, an incredibly popular tourist destination with high demand for quality accommodations,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham Hotel Group’s President and Managing Director, South East Asia and Pacific Rim.
“As we grow Ramada in Southeast Asia, we’re targeting travellers’ dream destinations, and this hotel gives our guests an opportunity to make lifelong memories on the white sands of the Andaman Sea.”
Ramada, which has a global portfolio of nearly 840 properties in approximately 60 countries, is experiencing tremendous growth in the region.
Throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, the group currently has more than 60 hotels open and operating under its Ramada, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Days Inn, TRYP by Wyndham and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham brands. More than 60 properties are currently under development in the region.
The group recently announced signings for Ramada properties in Broome, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand; agreements for 17 new Ramada properties in South Korea scheduled to open by 2018; and plans for eight new Ramada properties in China to open by the end of 2017.
