Acclaimed Italian artist, Giuseppe Siniscalchi, will be visiting the Coconut Club programme of Phuket Has Been Good To Us at Rachaprachnukroh School in Kamala on Wednesday, August 13. He will conduct a short presentation about his art and then guide the children in creating art of their own.
Giuseppe Siniscalchiis a painter based in Milan, Italy and leader of the “Fronteversismo" artistic movement in which both the front and back of a canvas is used. His unique artworks have garnered him a great deal of attention in Milan and Phuket Has Been Good To Us is thrilled to introduce the talented artist to the children in their Coconut Club programme.
Since 2008, Coconut Club has offered a programme of on-going leisure and education development activities. These after school, weekend and inter-session experiences are delivered to the 130 residential students of the Rachaprachnukroh School in Kamala and to the primary classes at Baan Kalim School in Kalim.
Coconut Club coordinator, Angela McNoe, is grateful for Siniscalchi’s support. "Coconut Club wouldn’t exist without the support of the community and visitors like Giuseppe. The children get so much out of the programme and, as I’m sure anyone who has worked and helped at Coconut Club will agree, it’s the highlight of the week for everyone involved!"
