The department has warned of heavy rain and strong winds between August 20-28 and are advising small boat not to go out to sea as waves could reach in the region of up to two metres high.

PHUKET: The Thai Meteorological Department has today (August 20) issued a severe weather warning for provinces in the Andaman region including Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang, Satun and Ranong.
