Between 9:00am and midday, Cherng Talay district chief Weera Kerdsirimongkol and a team of officials from Cherng Talay Orbortor and Cherng Talay police, along with 34 Beach Territorial Defense Volunteers inspected an area of Bangtao Beach to see if any illegal activities were taking place.
Police found 10 beach vendors working illegally on the beach and seized from them 56 sunbeds, 44 mats, 3 umbrellas and 19 tables.
The 10 beach vendors were taken to Cherng Talay police station and charged for encroachment for which they received a fine of B2,000 fine.
The 122 seized items were taken to Cherng Talay Orbortor.
