At 10am, Thalang District Chief, Veera Kerdsirimongkol, Thalang District Deputy, Danai Jaikhang, and Thachatchai police arrived at the Baan Sakoo bridge where the body of the man had been found.
The victim, believed to be between 30-35-years-old, had been dead for at least 10 hours police said.
The shirtless victim was found in a shallow part of the canal with his head resting on a rock. He had a tattoo on his left shoulder, and had bruises around his neck as well as a head injury.
Police believe that this is a homicide case and are currently gathering more information about the victim whose body was taken to Thalang Hospital.
