Two Supercheap trucks crash in Phuket

Phuket: A Supercheap truck crashed today (August 10) after the driver lost control of the vehicle when another car cut in front of him at 10.45am.

Rawai Police Lt. Gen Kaison Boonprasop went to investigate the accident on Viset Rd.

Authorities witnessed the four-wheel truck turn over on the road, in front of Bangkanati Mosque.

The Burmese driver suffered some injuries and was taken to Vachira Hospital.

Meanwhile another Supercheap cargo truck crashed yesterday (August 9) after hitting a power pole on Thepkasatti Rd at 5.45pm.

Two Burmese victims were both injured and taken to Vachira Hospital.

The truck was on its way back from delivering cargo at a Supercheap branch by the airport in the Ban Libpon area.

According to Talang police, the truck was attempting to move away from a passing car on the slippery road when the driver lost control and slammed into the pole.
