Police first arrested Krabi man Preecha Boonyarak, 27, at his rented room at Aziz Mansion on Phang Nga Rd in Talad Yai, Phuket Town, after he sold the two pills to a plainclothes officer.

They searched his room and found a further six pills and also confiscated his mobile phone with sim card and B500 in cash.

Preecha was persuaded to contact his supplier, Kaisorn Baotong, 33, from Surat Thani, pretending he wanted to buy more drugs.

When Kaisorn turned up for the meeting behind the Kasiad Market on Thawornwongwong Rd in Talad Yai, police pounced on him.

They seized 60 meth pills, along with a Samsung mobile phone and sim card, and his Isuzu D-max pickup truck.

Both men were taken to Phuket City Police Station where they were charged with possession of a Category 1 drug with intent to sell.
