The two were arrested on an arrest warrant issued by Phuket Court on Wednesday and along with being charged with murder, they have also been charged with attempted murder and carrying weapon into a public place without a permit.

there are way too many speeding motorcyclists both farang and thai on soi san sabai especially at night when it is constricted due to parked motorbikes.the police are unable to stop this due to it being a privately owned soi.many people are struck every night but most apologise but this guy obviously was getting a just beating for his actions and his friend didnt like it and jumped in with a knife.the solution is to police soi san sabai and enforce the 1 direction rule at night.of course the local thais will go to any lengths to get to soi tan quicker as is seen by thais riding many patong streets in the wrong direction often with no headlights.the police need to do thier job and target thais riding in the wrong direction, one street at a time starting at the crossing of sai nam yen over rat-u-thit pee 200 as there is total disregard for safety even with barriers installed.the police have been informed and the reply is we dont have enough traffic police while 3 officers sit all day in the shade at the corner of rat-u-thit pee 200 and soi san sabai giving the occassional fines to tourists not wearing helmets.
3 also sit in the shade on phra baramee and taweewong rd handing out occassional fines for no helmets to tourists.
some one is telling me poky pies. mr traffic policeman, do your job and fine both thais and farangs for unsafe riding practices.or is it just " ok " for thais to continually ride in the wrong direction ? video evidence put on u-tube might help as the day of accountability has arrived for thais in patong as it seems this is the only way to get something done in patong.

Guess that, if these 2 guys are not have a 'influential background', they will go through the thai justice system ment for the thai low class.
Prosecution, if found quilty , conviction and locked up.

Anyway, this case indeed support the present Government idea of upgrading the security guard industry, meaning: education, past background screening, and higher level training + exam to get a security guard diploma.

It is needed for better protection of foreign tourists on Phuket.

crazy,, a small accident turns into death,, don't Thai guys know the word 'sorry' or are they just too tough for that ? Guess they will have plenty of time in jail to think about it now... If they ever get there????

So what will happen next? 100.000 bail out and the court case
will disappear after some time like most cases.

Remember the band members in Krabi who killed a father and injured his son. They bailed out 3 years ago and still walking freely. Never went to court or jail.

Or the red bull guy whio killed a police man with his Ferrari in bangkok and never had time to go to court and did not spend one day in jail.

Thai legal system is complete joke and fails by definition.
