In just the 6th minute of the match, Lopes brokeaway down the left flank and made an accurate cross to a diving Berlin Nlome-Ndebi who knocked the ball in the Bangkok FC net to put Phuket ahead 1-0 early.
Phuket controlled the ball for much of the game and it showed as Bangkok could barely penetrate to take a threatening shot.
Just three minutes later in the 9th minute of the match, Phuket scored once again as Lopes' curling free kick into the box was met with the foot of surging midfielder Narakorn Wisetthanakarn who scored his first goal of the season and put Phuket up with a commanding 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes.
Still, Bangkok FC would battle on and finally score late in the second half but it was not enough.
The game saw a lot of rough play as three players on the field received yellow cards, including Phuket's Moussa Sylla and Narakorn.
The win gave Phuket three much-needed points to shoot them up one spot on the Yamaha League-1 table - 4th (20 points).
Next up, Phuket FC will take on Thailand Tobacco Monopoly (TTM) FC on Sunday (May 10) at Surakul Stadium. Kickoff set for 7pm.
