On Tuesday, Thalang police arrested Somsak Boontang, 39, a Pa Khlok resident, after finding 1.75 grams of ya ice in his shoe.
At 11pm, police were conducting routine checks at a check point near a 7-11 store in Tha Ruea and noticed the suspect on the motorbike coming toward them. He was acting suspiciously and tried to turn around to avoid the check point, but officers apprehended him.
Police searched Somsak and found the ya ice hidden in his shoe.
Police took Somsak and his motorbike to Thalang police station where he faced being charged with possession of a Category 1 drug.
Meanwhile, at 4pm on Wednesday (February 25), Thalang District Chief, Weera Kerdsirimongkol, led city officials to arrest a drug dealer in the area after undercover officers bought drugs worth B3,000 from him.
The suspect, Pattayanon Chookaew, 23, was arrested at his Pa Khlok home in possession of 56 ya bah pills and .57 grams of ya ice. Officers also found a 12 gauge handgun and one shotgun shell inside a plastic bag.
Pattayanon was taken to Thalang police station and is being charge with possession of a Category 1 drug with intent to sell and illegal possession of firearm and ammunitions.
