It has been confirmed that the victim is Paul Goudie, 49, from Hopper's  Crossing, a subub of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

The animal apparently mauled his belly and both legs, but he is in satisfactory condition at the Phuket International Hospital, but further details are not yet available.

Contacted by The Phuket News, Tiger Kingdom responded by hanging up.

Ok I was there yesterday! The Tigers are not drugged and were active! The park does have guidelines for safety and it's the people pushing boundaries on how far they can go! People were also tormenting the Tigers while I was there.... Trainers were constantly telling them not to! It is a wild animal and should be approached with caution, these are not cuddly animals! He new the dangers entering and even signed to say so! How about finding out if he did something wrong before casting judgement on the park!

When we went there we assumed the tigers were heavily sedated. I guess they forgot to give the tigers their ketamine that day.

Tiger hung up when contacted? Probably not the smartest thing to do.
However, problems such as this will continue as long as the place is operated as it does.
