Funds raised will contribute to Soi Dog Foundation’s PUP [Prevent Unwanted Puppies] initiative to prevent thousands of unwanted puppies being born on Phuket and in nearby districts.

Foundation Vice President John Dalley thanked all those who attended the black and white dress event.

He said: “The people of Phuket have always been generous to Soi Dog Foundation and the Soiree on Saturday was no exception. We at Soi Dog Foundation salute their continued support.”

Soi Dog Foundation is also planning to expand its work into Bangkok, where SDF volunteers worked around the clock with other animal welfare agencies to save hundreds of stranded animals during last year’s devastating floods.

Cristy Baker, the event organiser, thanked the sponsors who donated money, time and products.

They are: Xana Beach Club, The Phuket News, Live 89.5, Phuket Public Relations, PinkShrimp Yacht Charters, Soneva Kiri, Evason Phuket & Bon Island and Think Design.

She also thanked the Slug N Lettuce Restaurant and The Gourmet 9th Restaurant in Bangla Mall for sponsoring the popular Jagermeister Hour.

And final thanks to Garry Holden for MCing, Ben Jay, Jay Leshark for DJing and Jessi Cotterill Photography.
