The 12th CLA Phuket International Soccer Sevens and the 9th CLA Andaman International Soccer Sevens will take place the next two weekends with over 90 teams vying for a share of several titles in the annual football fest.
The 9th CLA Andaman International Soccer Sevens will take place November 15 – 16 while the 12th CLA Phuket International Soccer Sevens occurs November 22 – 23. Both events, organised by the same folks who host the Songkran International Soccer Sevens in April, will take place at sports stadium at Thanyapura Sports Club in Thalang.
Both leagues pits several clubs in different age and gender brackets – all of them taking part in seven-a-side matches – with teams hailing from over 20 different countries, including China, Australia, The Netherlands, France, and Germany.
Several local teams are also participating, including Super Six stalwarts Pita Bar Phuketeers.
The Phuket International Soccer Sevens has both the open and masters over-40 brackets, while the Andaman Soccer Sevens has both the open and masters over-35 brackets. An awards ceremony is scheduled for November 23 at Tai Pan Nightclub in Patong.
