England, Ireland and Wales are locked on six points each, three wins apiece though England's 37 point differntial gives them the edge over Ireland's 33 and Wales' 12. France's four points, with two wins and a 22 point differential, could become a problem for their northern neighbours as they could hold the RBS Six Nations trophy with a win over England and a Wales, Ireland loss.

Wales recovered from a weak start in the competition, when they lost to England 16-21 in Cardiff, to come away with victories over Scotland (26-23), France (20-13) and Ireland (23-16).

But in order to lift the coveted silverware, Wales will have to defeat Italy on Saturday (March 21) by a wide-margin to make up for their low goal differential. Of course, this assumes that England and Ireland take care of their own opponents at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Ireland is hoping that a convincing victory over Scotland on Saturday (March 21) will be enough to give them back-to-back championships. It bodes well that Scotland have yet to win a match in this year's competition, though Ireland lost to both England (March 1) and Wales (March 14) recently.

Playing the second match of the day, Ireland will at least have the benefit of knowing whether Wales defeated Italy earlier in the day which could provide a bit of a confidence booster if Warren Gatland's men fall to the southern Europeans.

The late match will see England take on France at Twickenham with the Brits looking confident as they hold the top spot on the table. A win over France, and England could very well lift the RBS Six Nations trophy given their superior point differential.

Still, the French will not go quietly as they still have an outside chance of lifting the title with a win over England, though Les Bleus have been as frustrating and underwhelming as ever this year. England haven't won the title since 2011, the year after the French won it.

Both nations will at least have the benefit of knowing whether Ireland and Wales have been able to take care of their respective opponents. If not, the match at Twickenham ultimately becomes a title decider.
