Examination led them to the conclusion that the loris, which looked dazed and had burns to its left leg and both feet, had received a nasty jolt from a power line.
Carefully – lorises, though slow, can deliver a nasty bite – they treated the wounds as best they could, then picked the animal up and put it in a safe place in a tree. The Livestock Department has been notified.
