Ratchanok's first-up 21-13, 21-14 win over Lim Yin Fun in 36 minutes set the tone as the Thais wrapped it up quickly, spending less than two hours on court.
Thailand's Jutatip Maneephan won the women's criterium cycling, held in the downtown area of Marina Bay South, and Harrif Saleh of Malaysia took gold in the men's race.
