Phuket seemed to have used a very interesting 3-5-2 formation throughout the game, but it was not enough to get past Navy's defense.
Despite Navy's head coach's comments about his team being ready, he fielded only four of his key players on his starting lineup (including former Phuket FC striker Ludovick Takam).
The draw pushes Phuket FC down three spots into 10th (19 points) on the Yamaha League-1 table, while Navy climbed to 4th (21 points).
After the game, Phuket fans were unhappy with coach Stefano “Teco” Cugurra while some even called for his resignation if he could not deliver a win this Wednesday (June 4) at home against Khon Kaen FC.
Phuket FC take on Khon Kaen FC on Wednesday (June 4), in a match that was originally scheduled to take place on May 25 but was pushed back due to the military coup. Kick-off is set for 6:30pm at Surakul Stadium.
