The facility was opened at an official ceremony attended by Army Area 42 Deputy Chief of staff Col Somchai Ponathong, government officials and residents.
Pisooth Tonmanee, village chief of Moo 5, explained that said Tambon Rassada received funding from the government and the private sector to built the security station.
It is connected to four security cameras covering the Tungka-Paniang Rd to monitor for crime and suspicious activity.
People may also go to the centre at any time of day or night to file complaints about anything that troubles them.
“We have eight security staff working at the post, which is open for the public 24/7. We have already sent a unit out to investigate after we received a complaint about illegal dumping of trash,” he said.
