Protest at Phuket International Airport

PHUKET: Members of staff from Pan Thai's who supply baggage handlers and cabin cleaners to Phuket International Airport held a small protest against their employers earlier today (April 4).

The protest had no effect on flights.

The workers held the protest as they were upset that the company doesn't pay their salary on time, deduct money from their salaries and reduce other benefits such as their holiday entitlement.

However, negotiations took place later between the company and its employees later today and the matters have now been settled.

There were no reports of any effect on inbound or outbound flights to the airport due to the protest.
