A Phuket Ruamjai Rescue Foundation volunteer confirmed Mrs Archara, 45, was the victim in the crash, which happened around 3.30am this morning (March 20).
The volunteer said Mrs Archara was driving her car on Chao Fah East heading south to Chalong when she crashed into the back of a parked 18 wheel truck, parked outside the Krajang Garage near Naka Weekend Market.
Mrs Archara was killed instantly.
She owned the Slug and Lettuce, on Bandon-Cherng Talay Rd, with her husband Phanpat “Ott” Khanchanakub, who is currently in England. The couple have two sons.
Her body was taken to Vachira Hospital and will be transferred to Bangkok.
