Police found shops illegally set up in Laguna this morning (December 13).

The 14 shop vendors ran away when they saw police in the area, which came as a surprise to their customers.

Police found the shops were selling swimwear, food and beverages, and tour packages.

The officers announced over loudspeakers, “We are not here to arrest anyone. We only came to check the area. But, please come speak with us, or you will be taken to the police station.”

The police told Wirat Karaket, 44, the leader, and the shop vendors, that they were on private property and must get off it.

Dusit Laguna declined to comment on the situation.
