This year, the resort decided to star one of the world’s great bubbly beverages to wash down the sumptuous surf and turf delights and guests can now enjoy this every Sunday.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing said popular brunch and all I can say is, wow!
Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the vast range of foods to choose from; starters such as bruschetta and foie gras, poached seafood, smoked seafood, shellfish, a selection of fresh oysters from around the world, cold cuts and terrine, various cheeses, a Japanese station featuring sushi, sashimi and tempura.
And if that wasn’t enough, there was also a barbeque and roast station with various cuts of beef, lamb, Wagyu rump (my weakness), yellowfin tuna belly, spit-roasted pork, prawns and lobster.
There is also a Thai station with a weekly changing assortment of local and regional delicacies, and finally a dessert station with a selection so vast we had no choice but to enjoy it all!
From chocolate dacquoise, to lemon and raspberry, to mascarpone mousse, we really were spoilt for choice.
While we plowed down some of the heavenly delights, we were entertained by the island’s renowned musician, PJae Stanley, and her band. It was the perfect way to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere while we let our bellies digest!
One of the selling points about the brunch is the option to let your kids play in the Tin Box Kids Club for the afternoon. This way, you can still have some quality time with your kid for part of the day, but also enjoy the brunch with your partner with no stress. Not sure who was most sleepy on the way home, us or our daughter.
Overall we had a wonderful day, from the service to the quality fresh food, to the attention to detail, let’s just say I’m glad the brunch is back!
Reservations are essential as the spaces are limited, but don’t be put off as even Yann Hervy, Director of Food and Beverage, says that,“The number of guests are limited to ensure that everyone that attends is taken care of in the best possible way”.
With three brunch package options, starting from B2,050 ++ per person for the brunch and free flow soft drinks, there is no other brunch on the island, in my humble opinion, that can live up to the variety or value of the Indigo Pearl Sunday brunch.
Join now every Sunday from 12 noon.
