Mrs Renu, however, denies the charges, saying the 560 pills found in her home belong to her husband, Pichai, 31, who escaped from police.

Police, acting on a tip from an undercover agent that the couple were selling pills to teenagers, raided their home in Soi Bangthong, Moo7, Kathu.

Pichai, seeing the police arriving, leapt out of a window at the back of the building and fled into the forest, where police lost track of him.

Renu, however, stayed put as a search of the rooms was conducted, during which the pills were found, and was placed under arrest. An arrest warrant for Pichai has been issued.
