After 12 of 30 scheduled fixtures for the FTPL 2014 season, the Andaman Pearl – who are currently ranked 2nd out of 16 teams with 24 points from 10 wins and two losses – have counted a total of 8,177 spectators attending its seven home matches thus far.

That equates to 1,168 fans per match, just over a quarter of the capacity of the Pearl’s home ground – the 4,000 seat Saphan Hin indoor sports complex.

The second highest turnout was achieved by supporters of league leaders Chonburi Bluewave (12-0-0), who counted 5,354 fans attending its six home matches so far, all played at the Chonburi City Municipality sports complex.

In third with 5,150 fans in six home matches are newcomers Mor Pak Khon Kaen.

As for revenue turnover, Phuket United is currently the second most lucrative club, having generated a total of B293,375 – B246,840 from ticketing and B46,535 from merchandising.

The FTPL’s most lucrative club to date is Chonburi, whose game day receipts have totalled B326,010 (B303,010 from tickets and B23,000 from merchandise), while Pattaya Arena are in third having made B122,330 (B43,950 from tickets and B78,380 from merchandise).

Other than Phuket and Chonburi, the only other team in the FTPL to remain unbeaten at home are 4th place Nonthaburi, who’ve won four and drawn one in their five home matches this season.

Before the season is over, each team will have played 15 home matches as well as 15 away matches.

On break for a month, FTPL league play will commence on May 17, with Phuket United scheduled to play Khon Kaen on the road.
