Maj Purimphat Thanaphansiri and Lt Preechaphat Sangnoi of the Phuket City Police led more than 20 officers to raid the Harem night venue on Phang Nga Rd at 1am.

Present for the raid was Dr Prapa Nakara from the Provincial Public Health Office, which is responsible for enforcing alcohol control laws, and Panom Kraiserm from the Excise Department Phuket office, which issues alcohol and entertainment licenses.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Harem manager Sayomphu Sriyotha and two staff – named by police only as “Ms Lin”, 25, and “Ms Tha” 24 (real names withheld by police) – on charges of selling alcohol after permitted hours and providing “indecent” entertainment show.

Next, officials raided the DUZz club on Mae  Luang Rd*, where they arrested 30-year-old Chaisiri Sekpan for selling alcohol after permitted hours.

All four were taken to Phuket City Police Station to face their charges.
