Phuket Tourist Police Chief Pol Maj Urumporn Khoondejsumrit said that at 3:45pm on Tuesday Thai actor Morris K came to their office at the PIA with a wallet he had found in the gents toilet in the arrival terminal.
Maj Uramporn said that inside the wallet was B4,600 cash and a credit card issued to a Mr Aidan O’ Rourke.
“After making some investigations, we learned that Mr O’ Rourke, who is from Ireland, arrived on an AirAsia flight at PIA that day. AirAsia found that Mr O’Rouke was staying in Patong. They managed to contact him and told him his wallet had been found and was with us,” Maj Urumporn said.
Mr O’Rouke went to the Phuket Tourist Police Station at 7pm yesterday to collect his wallet and to write a thank you note in the station’s Friendship book.
Thwe message read; "My name is Aidan and i am from Ireland. I lost my wallet at Phuket airport. I had no faith in getting it back!!! Until i got a message from Tourist Police telling me they found my wallet.
"Needless to say i am very happy to get it back with all my money 4,600 baht.
He also thanked Morris K and the Tourist Police for returning the wallet.
In addition, the police have praised Morris K for his honesty and thanked him for being good citizen and being a role model for Thais.
