I guess a police officer assignment for a few years in Chalong and Patong is a kind of a 'reward' thing.
I am sure many RTP officers are on the waiting list for money heaven Phuket.
Is it not nice? A few years RTP job doing on Phuket.
Followed by a relax time with inactive duty to rest?
A dream life in a developing country.

Did anything change about RTP Patong and Chalong since May 2014?

Like to ask about the Phuket beach horse riding police and the Phuket beach bike police.
How is it going?

A "cleaning up" of patong police department? LOL! All that has been done is to move corrupt cops out so that more corrupt cops can come in.

Pardon me, but I just don't understand why corrupt and criminal police are just shifted to some other less popular post. It's like taking the fox out of the hen-house and putting him inside the duck cage...same dirty cop put in a different position where he can continue his corrupt/dishonest behavior, albeit on a smaller scale. He should be stripped of all responsibility, and placed in home arrest without pay until the "investigation" is complete. If he is innocent, give him back pay and let him carry on...but if guilty, throw him in jail for a long time, and send a serious message to all the other dirty cops.

Finally, a beginning of the police corruption cleaning up on Phuket.
Do not forget Chalong Police station! That is a pirate nest!
With all the bars, girls, and what ever you can imagine at patak road whole night till sunrise.
Bars, etc, owned by police officers and their wives, children
Start sweeping from the top! Clean-Clean up RTP Phuket.

Remember the Chalong station police officer who at 04:00 AM shot/Killed a waitres at a Patak road of a competitor bar beside his bar?
We never heard of it any more.

"to prevent any damage to the government"

The entire country of Thailand and most of planet earth already know Thailand is corrupt to the core. Especially the Thai police.

Whats more interesting is, which police aren't corrupt! It would be a huge challenge to find at least 1 police officer in Thailand who isn't!
