The stabbing happened in Soi Thungka in Rassada just after midnight yesterday when Supercheap assistant manager, Nattapon Nukulwhen was returning home from work. (See story here)
After checking CCTV from the area Phuket City police arrested Rawai resident, Ong-art Meekaew, 29, at an unknown address near Soi Rattanamantion on Vichitsongkram Rd.
Police seized from Ong-art a long sleeve shirt, blood stained jeans, flip-flops, crash helmet and Honda Wave as evidence of the crime.
Ong-art told police he and Nakorn Sri Thammarat native, Nattapong (Mai) Tongsri, 24, stabbed Mr Nattapon to death with a knife.
Mr Nattapon was Maì•s former boss and Mai blamed him for getting fired from his job.
Ong-art said that Mai asked him to come along and wait for Mr Nattapon victim, then Mai assaulted the him.
“We left the scene separatly and went our separate ways. I was hiding out at a friends house before my arrest,” said Ong-art.
Police are looking to charge Ong-art with accomplice to premeditated murder at Phuket City Police Station where he is currently being held. They are sill looking for Nattapong Tongsri.
